Return of AHCCCS Renewals
Renewal Resources
AHCCCS, Arizona’s Medicaid agency and the state’s largest insurer, is in the process of having all AHCCCS-insured Arizonans renew their eligibility beginning April 1, 2023. This could potentially result in hundreds of thousands of Arizonans potentially losing coverage. This is because for the last three years, the program has allowed continues enrollment (no need to renew) in response to the federal pandemic emergency.
With this renewal requirement now back in place, many may no longer qualify or could be dropped from coverage if they do not renew.
It is critical members update their contact information. This can be done via the web at www.healthearizonaplus.gov or via phone by calling Health-e-Arizona at 1-855-432-7587, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Members can also sign up for text/email notifications at the Health-e-Arizona website.
No-cost help is also available for families to work through this process at 1-800-377-3536 or at http://coveraz.org/connector. Bilingual assistors are available.
There are a variety of resources gathered by Cover Arizona to help your organization support families.
